CONGRATULATIONS to East Tech’s very own FIRST Robotics Team for the excellent work that they have done throughout the school year. The FIRST Robotics Team has been an integral program at East Tech since its inception in 1994 when we became the first team to be sponsored by NASA.
The team can be seen on Channel 3’s program To the Moon: Ohio’s Journey. This TV program chronicles Ohio’s part in the space program dating back to 1941 to present. A Channel 3 camera crew shadowed the team as they worked with their mentors (East Tech staff members: Mrs. Julia Loeb and Ms. Kathy Shimko) and professional engineers to build their robots.
Our Robotics team is featured as part of Ohio’s future workforce of engineers and technicians. This informative program can be seen this Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 1:00 pm. on Channel 3, on July 20, 2009 and at www.wkyc.com.
